Kitchen and Bath Appliance InformationWhen you are upgrading your kitchen it may be time to upgrade the appliances in it. You may choose to upgrade if your old applainces are 10 years older or more, have a color scheme that will clash with the new design or are starting to need repairs on a regular basis. Information on AppliancesIf you do choose to purchase new appliances here are some thoughts to keep in mind:
Take a look at new features available in recent appliances. Would you like a dishwasher drawer? Want your refrigerator to have adjustable shelves? What about a convection microwave oven? Ease of cleaning is always a valid concern. Will your new range be a sealed top or not, does the outside of the appliance show fingerprints, etc... For some appliances you have the choice of gas or electric power. Gas heats your range or oven faster and has been considered less expensive to operate but your home may not be set up for gas.
Be sure to check on the insulation of appliances - particularly dishwashers and refrigerators. The more insulation the quieter they will operate. Be certain before you purchase that you have checked the size of your cookware. Don't buy an oven or microwave that does not accomdate the dish you use for your favorite dinner. Carefully measure your kitchen so you know exactly what size appliance you can accomodate. |
